|  QCPAWS is a participating charity in the John Deere Classic Birdies for Charity. The John Deere Classic will be held July 8-14. This is a great way to support QCPAWS!
Please pick up your pledge card at the Rock Island County Animal Care and Control Shelter at 4000 – 78th Avenue, Moline, IL . The pledge card will have our Bird# on it so that you can be sure your pledge will go directly to QCPAWS .
You can make a pledge now until July 14th

WHEN: September 23, 2012 check in time 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Rock Island County Animal Care & Control and QC PAWS, and The Quality Group would like to invite the public to a benefit ride "Miles for Mutts", open to Motorcycles, Cars and Trucks. We will be having check in from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Crabby's Bar & Grill, in Coal Valley, IL. This year the route will include: Jim's Knoxville Tap, Ducky's Lagoon, Blueport Junction, Hooters, Governor's and you will return to Crabby's by 3 p.m. There is no order in which you have to attend the locations, just make sure you get your card stamped at each. It is a $10 per person registration fee. The first 20 registrants receives an event T-shirt. All proceeds go to support the animals at Rock Island County Animal Care & Control and QC PAWS.
When returning to Crabby's we will be offering a car show. A presentation by the Rock Island County Sheriff's Department K9 dog when the participants return to Crabby's. There will be opportunities to win prizes and 50/50 raffles.
This event is RAIN OR SHINE!!!

| Spooktacular celebration for all pets and their families at the RI County Animal Shelter. The magic will be from 12 – 3. Games, crafts, pictures, and food will help set the mood. A pet costume will commence at 1:15. |

| Have you adopted a dog from our shelter?
If so, we would love to invite you and your adopted dog to walk with us in the Annual City of Rock Island Labor Day Parade, Monday September 5th at 9:30am. The parade is 2 miles. We would like to showcase to the public all the wonderful dogs that have come from our shelter!
If you are bringing your dog, please make sure it gets along with other dogs. You will need to provide your own transportation and remember it may be very hot that day so plan accordingly. You do not have to commit to walking the entire parade, just as much as you and your dog would like. If you are interested please email Jan at
