Volunteers are vital to the success of the shelter’s operations and directly impact the lives of our shelter animals.   QCPAWS Board of Directors is an all volunteer group.   We manage the orientation and recruitment of volunteers for the shelter.

Every volunteer must go through the orientation.

There are many ways you can donate your time.

Like interacting with the cats?   Cats  appreciate the human touch and socialization is a big part helping them interact with potential adoptors and transitioning into their forever home.

Who let the dogs out?????   Dogs need to be walked at least once a day, even though they have individual outdoor runs.   Walking with a human buddy means so much more and maintains their social skills for their eventual adoption

You Like to clean????  There’s plenty to do in this area….laundry too!

Veterinary help  - If you have a special interest in helping with the clinic  there are things that volunteers can help with that can really help the clinic run smoothly.   Hear more about this at orientation.

Weekend offsite Adoptions – you can help one our QCPAWS members show dogs for adoptions at Petco and Petsmart.  It’s a fun way to help the homeless pets and meet other pet lovers.
