Rock Island County Animal Care & Control Shelter
The RICACC is a state of the art facility offering nearly 100 indoor/outdoor dog runs and an open cat adoption room. In addition, there is a medical suite for surgery, clinic, and isolation procedures. The location offers easy access to the community, is open seven (6) days a week, and provides a home for the thousands of animals that will be entrusted to our care. This is the first and only full-service Animal Care & Control facility in the Illinois Quad Cities.

Our low-cost vaccination clinic is open every Tuesday starting at
1:00 PM. The maximum number of patients that can be seen on clinic day is 50. Our clinic has a large selection of veterinarian products and vaccines.

You may utilize our low-cost spay and neuter services, which are performed on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, by appointment. Call 558-DOGS (3647) for an appointment.

Pet Adoption
You should be willing to spend at least an hour or two looking at our adoptable pets. If you find a pet that interests you, spend some time getting acquainted before making your final decision.
Once you've decided on a pet and are ready to adopt, simply complete the adoption and registration process, pay the adoption fee and you and your new best friend are on your way!
Adoption Fees:
DOGS - $100.00 - Includes: Spayed/Neutered, Microchipped, Heart Worm tested, and Vaccinated for Rabies, Distemper/Parvo & Bordetella.
PUPPIES - 8 weeks to 6 months - $250
7 months to one year - $150
Includes: spay/neuter, microchip and age appropriate vaccines
CATS- $60.00 - Includes: Spayed/Neutered, Microchipped, and Vaccinated for Rabies, & Distemper/URI.
NOTE: If you are a resident of Rock Island County, your first year's registration is included in the adoption fee for adult pets. Any known medical history of the animal will be provided.
